If you’ve ever thought about starting a business or becoming a creator, you’ve probably heard the phrase “the riches are in the niches.” This popular piece of advice states that to be successful, you have to pick one or two niches and stick to them consistently.

The idea is that if you’re too broad, you’ll end up confusing your audience and they’ll go elsewhere.

So if you’re someone like me who has a wide variety of interests, this presents a dilemma.

On the one hand, you want your audience to stick around so you can make money from them. But on the other hand, the thought of limiting yourself to only one or two areas of interest sounds miserable.

Like how do you pick just one when you truly love them all?

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from trying a lot of the popular “success tips,” over the years, it’s that you should take them with a grain of salt.

Like sure, go ahead and try them if you think they’ll benefit you. But also understand that they won’t work for everyone and that’s OK. You’re not a failure just because you don’t like waking up at 5 am.
